Reclaimed Glass For Today's Art
the copper chopper is made from found objects the tree in the rock is copper wire twisted and soldered to form the tree
the windows are etched glass. The 17" plate is blown glass and the school logo carved into it. "A friend to lean" on is 12 1/4 glass laminated and blasted to look like a shoulder the head is soapstone carved on granite
The head below is made from cold formed glass, using the side window of a Ford Escort . The rock and glass sculpture (below) was made from a process of reclaimed cold formed 1/4 inch tempered glass. The tree in a glass rock (below), is a 13 -1/4 inch sculpture created by laminating glass pieces together and sandblasting it to form a rock, which was then set on a piece of reclaimed shattered tempered glass.
